Katekero II's current building, placed in the heart of the Portuguese fishing town of Peniche was once a fish store that served to support the "Old Riverside" (the fish auction). That was the name that the sea people gave to the area that currently is the town's Marina.
The building, almost with a century of existence, was acquired by our family in 1990 and renovated for the first time around 1998. The reshuffle took place again in this year (2008).
All the architectural lines, facades and colors were maintained, for the building is located in an real estate area classified as "historic area", thus under the authority of the IGESPPAR (former IPPAR).
The building itself was the home of a wealthy family.
